HPU Professor Wins National Teaching Award

HONOLULU (KHNL) -- A Hawaii Pacific University professor was awarded a national teaching award in Texas over the weekend.

Associate Economics Professor Ken Schoolland received the Action Foundation's National Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education.

Schoolland was nominated by one of his students who accompanied him to Austin to receive the award.

Schoolland was one of 27 teachers from across the country to win this year's award.

Each winner received a $1,000 award and a trophy.
