Mexican Bounty Lifted on The Dog

Honolulu (KHNL)--He's out of the dog house. After years of legal wrangling a panel of judges in Mexico ruled that Duane "Dog" Chapman can not be extradited there.

The appellate court's ruling also stands for Chapman's son Leland and colleague Tim Chapman.

Prosecutors there wanted Chapman to face charges stemming from his 2003 arrest and capture of convicted rapist Andrew Luster.

Chapman and his crew were later arrested themselves, because bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico.

The "Dog" and his wife Beth say they're "ecstatic" that the case is over.
