Police: Robbery Suspect Returns To Store, Gets Caught

KALIHI (KHNL) -- Investigators say a man accused of stabbing a Kalihi convenience store worker Wednesday night held up the same place last week.

Officers arrested 24-year-old Chiefton Martion on suspicion of robbery and assault. Police say he went into the Corner Market on Vineyard Boulevard to buy cigarettes Wednesday night, but a 53-year-old male worker recognized him as the robbery suspect from the week before.

Martion is accused of cutting another worker, a 54-year-old man, on the arm while trying to run away.

He's awaiting charges at the main police cellblock.
