Two Men Accused of Killing Dog For Food Indicted

HONOLULU (KHNL) -- Two men accused of killing a Kahala couple's beloved dog for food will stand trial on theft and animal cruelty charges.

On Tuesday, an Oahu grand jury indicted Saturnino Palting and Nelson Domingo in the death of eight-month-old Caddy.

Frank Manuma took his dog with him to Moanalua Golf Club last month. He says he got permission to leave Caddy by the equipment barn while he played a round of golf.

Two maintenance workers at the course are suspected of stabbing the dog to death.
