Hawaii's National Monument to Become U.S. World Heritage Site

NORTH WESTERN HAWAIIAN ISLANDS (KHNL) -- Hawaii's vast, new national monument is on the list to become a U.S. world heritage site.

Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument covers 1,200 miles of the Hawaiian Islands.

It's the longest, clearest and oldest example of island formation and atoll evolution in the world.
