OAHU (KHNL) -- A traffic stop Monday night landed two people in the hospital; one of them a Honolulu police officer.
Investigators at the scene said it happened on the H-1 westbound near the Kaonohi Street overpass around 5:45 p.m.
They say the motor bike officer attempted to pull a car over. That's when, they say, the suspect hit the bike, injuring the officer.
The suspect then took off.
The officer was taken to Pali Momi Medical Center in stable condition and was released later that night.
Police tracked the suspect to Waipahu, where he was taken into custody. He was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
