Lava Flow on Big Island Stalls Again

KILAUEA (KHNL) -- Lava flowing from Kilauea volcano has once again stopped.

The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory says although the flow has stalled, the threat to Royal Gardens Subdivision still remains.

This map shows the source of the lava flow: pu'u'oo crater.

It flowed dangerously close -- about a tenth of a mile -- to the subdivision.

But the good news is the flow has stagnated since Thursday night.
