Hawaii Legislature Pushing for U.S. Stamps to Honor Nisei Veterans

HONOLULU (KHNL) -- Elvis, and Yoda have them, and now members of the Hawaii Legislature are urging the U.S. Postal Service to issue a commemorative stamp to honor Nisei veterans.

State Representatives are asking for the public's help to get a stamp issued in 2010 in honor of the more than 20,000 American World War II veterans

"I think a lot of them need to be honored the medal of honor and think stamp will help towards that," said Robert Arakai, with the President 100th Infantry Battalion Veterans.
