Selected F-15s Cleared for Flight

HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE (KHNL) -- After more than two months of stand-down actions, a portion of the Pacific Air Force F-15 C/D aircraft fleet returned to flying status.

The PACAF cleared about 65% of the aircraft to fly.  The remaining will go through further inspections.

The fleet was ordered to stand-down after an Air National Guard F-15C aircraft broke apart in flight during a basic fighter maneuver training in Missouri on November 2.
