Obama Wins Iowa Caucus

IOWA (KHNL) -- A Hawaii-born candidate for president is one step closer to winning the Democratic presidential nominee.

Barack Obama has won the Democratic caucus in Iowa.

He topped Senators John Edwards and Hillary Rodham Clinton in a very tight race for the the Democratic contest.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee is one step closer to winning the Republican presidential nomination. He won the Iowa Republican caucus.

The Iowa caucuses represent the first actual votes in the race for the White House.

More often than not, these early caucuses have predicted who will go on to win the party's respective nomination.
