HALAWA (KHNL) -- A Palisades woman continues to search for her missing husband. 67-year-old Ronald Lee vanished three weeks ago, and his wife Linda is doing what she can to make sure he is found.
Linda and her friends and family have been passing out flyers, and posting them all over town. She says she won't stop until her husband comes home safe.
Linda has walked hundreds of miles, and posted thousands of flyers, to find her missing husband Ronald.
"He's a good uncle," she said. "He's a good friend, and he's a very good husband. Very patient."
Ronald disappeared on December 5.
Since then, Linda has been on a mission to get the entire island looking for her husband. She's been going to stores and restaurants to get permission to post flyers.
"Can I ask a favor, please?" she asked a woman at a restaurant.
"You want to put it on the wall?" asked the woman.
"Can I?" said Linda.
"Can," the woman responded.
Linda said community support has kept her spirits up.
"Everyone has been really great," she said. "We keep crisscrossing each other. Everyone keeps calling, that they're still looking."
The Lees never had children. They are each other's best friend.
"We're together, except when he was working," Linda said. "We were together 99 percent of the time."
So, not having Ronald around has been especially tough for Linda during the holidays.
"It's very difficult," she said. "Even at night when it gets dark, I know. You wonder where he's sleeping, where he's eating. Christmas has been postponed by the family."
So this wife of 35 years won't stop until her husband is found.
"I still remember my vows that we'd be together until we die, to take care of each other, whether we're sick, or whether we're ill," she said.
So Linda and her extended family continue looking for Ronald.
"Since the day he was missing, that each day, I will find him," she said. "That each day, I pray, that this will be the day we'll find him."
