Kapolei Man Indicted in Crash that Killed Four Farmers

HONOLULU (KHNL) - A Kapolei man accused of causing a crash that killed four people in Kunia last year has been indicted by an Oahu grand jury.

Investigators say driver John Szemkow was passing cars in a no-passing zone, and caused a pickup filled with farm workers to swerve into a cement truck. The collision killed four farmers and injured eight others.

The crash happened on Kunia Road on April 24, 2006.

The grand jury indicted Szemkow on charges of third-degree negligent homicide and failure to render aid.
