FORT SHAFTER (KHNL) -- A Hawaii-based soldier died of non-combat related injuries in Iraq.
The Pentagon says 19-year-old Pfc. Juctin McDaniel of Andover, New Hampshire died Monday in Baghdad.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
McDaniel joined the Army in November 2006 and was assigned to the 524th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 45th Sustainment Brigade, 8th Theater Sustainment Command in Fort Shafter.
He deployed to Iraq last month with the 536th Maintenance Company as a power generation equipment repairer.
