MANOA (KHNL) -- For the first time Hawaii fans are lining up to buy tickets to watch the Warriors play in the Sugar Bowl. Tickets went on sale Monday for season ticket holders.
Starting Thursday, all fans can buy tickets either online or at the Stan Sheriff Center.
There are lots of good seats left in the Hawaii section.
Because he was one of the first in line when the box office opened at noon, George Kaneshiro got first pick of Sugar Bowl seats.
"I got my receipt for my 11 tickets to the Sugar Bowl," said Kaneshiro.
Season ticket holders can buy until Thursday, then they go on sale to the public.
It's an exciting time for Warrior fans.
"Just super, couldn't sleep last night," added Kaneshiro.
Shirley Santos is making a lot of friends today. 25 to be exact.
"My husband and all of his friends, I'm actually trying to get 25 tickets for them." Shirley Santos.
The tickets start at around $125. Santos shelled out more than $3000.
"Oh, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity," said Santos. "We don't know if it's going to happen again so we are just really excited to be a part of the sugar bowl."
Barbara Kaili and her sister have been fans for decades and the sugar bowl is the icing on the cake.
"It's a once in a lifetime so it's a must," said Kaili.
"We went to every game for 30 years so we won't miss this, we won't miss it."
