Kahoano Pleads No Contest To DUI

KANEOHE (KHNL) -- Island entertainer Kimo Kahoano goes to a Kaneohe courtroom, and says he won't fight charges stemming from his drunken driving arrest last month.

On Thursday, the 59-year-old pleaded no contest to DUI and fleeing the scene of a crash. Sources say his blood alcohol level was .21, more than two-and-a-half times the legal limit.

Kahoano received fines totaling $700, and must undergo 14 hours of substance abuse rehabilitation.

His driver's license was revoked for six months.
