HONOLULU (KHNL) --  If you like to donate this holiday season but don't have the time or money, one website can help you. Now you can easily donate to your favorite charity or school just by doing something you do everyday, searching the internet.

The website is called It's a search engine powered by Yahoo. You use it just like you would any other search engine. The only difference is, everytime you do a search, a donation is made to your favorite cause.

It's an easy concept. Just go to, type in the organization you want to support and search away. Every time you do a search, a penny is donated to that group. And the best part, it doesn't cost supporters anything. The money is taken right out of advertisers pockets.

And you can keep track of how much money your favorite charity has earned.

For instance, type in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Honolulu, then click the "amount raised" button. So far, the organization raised $10.33. Now do a quick search. Go back to the amount raised and you'll see the total is now $10.34.

"Just 500 people searching a day will add up to about $7300 dollars a year," said Goodsearch co-founder, JJ Ramberg.

Since launching in 2005, more than 47,000 organizations across the U.S. Have signed up.  Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Honolulu is just one of them.

"It's such an easy way for us to earn money for our agency and it was also an easy way for our supporters to help us raise money, it's a win-win situation," said Lesly Johnson, Marketing Specialist of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Honolulu.

If you don't see your favorite charity or school, you can always add one. The process is simple and there is no registration involved.

And since it won't cost you a penny. Now you can help save the planet, one search at a time.
