HONOLULU (KHNL)-- This week Colt Brennan earned himself another Western Athletic Conference offensive player of the week honor, however, if you think Brennan's reached a pinnacle here at Hawaii, think again.
"Because I struggled early on people have kind of written me off but I don't think what people realize is that i'm really hungry and I'm going to have a run right now, and in this run can really put a great last chapter on my career here," said Brennan.
Words which should excite any warrior fan. After Saturday's 37 point win over New Mexico State, Brennan finally feels like the Colt of old, and he's ready to make a run for a BCS berth in the final five weeks of the season.
"Now I'm just so excited to get back out there, so much more excited and like I said it feels like the season is just about to start against Fresno," said Brennan.
The timing couldn't have been any better. Colt and the Warriors are beginning to get national attention with their highest BCS ranking in school history at 14. Brennan's up for the Davey O'brien national quarterback award again, but the team knows winning is the key.
"This is exactly where we want to be, and we're in the driver's seat right now and it's all about making the right decisions and doing everything we need to do to win," said Colt.
Something the team's become pretty accustomed to doing, however, the Warriors won't bask in the past, they're looking forward to the future.
