Exclusive Video: UH Professor Charged With Electronic Enticement Of A Child

HONOLULU (KHNL) - Prosecutors charged a University of Hawaii professor with first-degree electronic enticement of a child on Monday.

KHNL News 8 has exclusive video of officers escorting Marc Fossorier into the main police cellblock.

He is a well-respected electrical engineering professor. But now, the 43-year-old is charged with arranging a sexual meeting with a 15 year-old child he met on-line.

"I was trying to help the girl," the suspect said to this reporter. "I wanted to meet her and say that what she was doing was wrong."

The person he was communicating with was actually an undercover law enforcement agent. Officers arrested him at the designated meeting place, the Pearl Kai McDonald's, Monday morning.

A UH spokesperson says the University will decline comment until it has more information about the arrest.

Fossorier is being held on $50,000 bail.
