'Lost' Actor Issues Statement of Apology

HONOLULU (KHNL) - "Lost" actor Daniel Dae Kim apologizes for his arrest on suspicion of drunk driving.

In a statement issued through his publicist, Kim says he is deeply ashamed and embarrassed.

The actor says he will cooperate fully with the police, adding it saddens him that he jeopardized the welfare of the people of Hawaii, a community he loves and calls home.

Kim also asked his friends, family, colleagues and fans to accept his heartfelt apologies.

Police arrested Kim early Thursday morning. He was booked at the downtown police station and released after posting bail.

He had a blood-alcohol level of 0.168, twice the legal limit.

He's set to appear in Oahu District Court on Nov. 23.
