UH on Security Alert

MANOA (KHNL) - The University of Hawaii Manoa campus is on security alert Thursday after someone notified security of a possible shooting.

Officials say campus security was notified that a man was overheard in a city bus talking to himself about planning to shoot 30 students at UH.  The man got off the bus in McCully.

Honolulu police and campus security officers are patrolling the Manoa campus looking for the individual.

School officials say no classes or activities are being cancelled.

The man is described to be in his 40s.  He has black/gray hair and dark eyes.  He was wearing a camouflage shirt with an American flag and Khaki shorts.
