The Tour & Trolley People
E Noa Corporation was established in 1973, and has provided uninterrupted tour and trolley service, primarily to visitors, since its inception. The number of routes and passengers has increased significantly over time. Currently, E Noa has 300 employees and operates a total of 61 trolleys and 30 mini-buses (approximately 25-30-passenger capacity). E Noa holds the "Regular Route License" issued by the Public Utilities Commission and is the only privately-owned transportation company in Hawaii holding that license.
Current operations include E Noa Tours (which provides ten unique tours with an emphasis in personalized land tours on Oahu ) and the Waikiki Trolley Tours (which provides THREE unique lines between Waikiki , Sea Life Park , Downtown Honolulu , and Bishop Museum ). On average, E Noa Tours carries approximately 1,200-1,500 passengers daily, and the Waikiki Trolley transports approximately 5,500+ passengers daily. E Noa Corporation is owned by Mr. Katsumi Tanaka, who serves as both Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Tanaka holds an undergraduate and law degree from Harvard University. In addition to his current tourism business, Mr. Tanaka has extensive experience in international transactions and has served as negotiator and advisor on behalf of multi-national corporations in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, joint-venturing, licenses, business consulting and is an active member of numerous visitor industry associations in Hawaii.
Asian Pacific Advisors is the marketing entity of and owned by its parent company, E Noa Corporation. As a marketing arm, a team of 12 is responsible for the planning and execution on the strategy of all sales, marketing and advertising and programs for both E Noa Tours and Waikiki Trolleys, and assists all commercial contracts. Maki Kuroda currently serves as president of both, Asian Pacific Advisors and E Noa Corporation. Maki is active in the travel industry and very well versed in both, east and west markets. Maki holds three degrees - Bachelor of Science in both, Business and Marketing, as well as an MBA and periodically teaches marketing in the Travel Industry Management Program at Hawaii Pacific University , and was a Captain in the United States Air Force.
