State Representatives to Hear from Public on Superferry

HONOLULU (KHNL) - Members of the state House will hear public testimony on the Hawaii Superferry on Thursday.

The hearing will be cablecast live on Olelo, public access television, Channel 54.

A panel of state senators heard public testimony on the issue of the Superferry on the Big Island Tuesday. It had already heard testimony from residents of Maui and Kauai.

Lawmakers would have to be called into special session to vote on proposed legislation to allow the ferry service to operate while an environmental review is conducted.
