PEARL HARBOR (KHNL) - The U.S. Navy showed off its new guided missile submarine at Pearl Harbor.

The USS Ohio sailed into port Monday morning with its crew of 155 sailors.

It's on its way to its first deployment since it was converted to a guided missile submarine.

"The range of missions we can now do in support of the global war on terrorism we can do a campaign of SEAL forces, a strike on a very short notice," said Commanding Officer, Captain Chris Ratliff.

Navy SEALs can be deployed from this holding area while the submarine is submerged.

The sub also carries 105 Tomahawk cruise missiles.

The USS Ohio heads to the Western Pacific after this brief stop-over.
