Rainbow Wahine Swept by Nation's top team

HONOLULU (KHNL) - In front of a record crowd, the 11th ranked Rainbow Wahine volleyball team got swept by top seeded Nebraska, in Lincoln, 30-22, 30-16, 30-24.

The game was played at Bob Devaney Sports Center, the usual site for Nebraska basketball games, in front of 13,396 -- the largest crowd ever at a women's, regular season volleyball match.

Jamie Houston had a match high 16 kills.

The loss snaps the Rainbow Wahine 13-match win streak, and drops them to 16-4 on the season.

Cornhuskers, the defending national champions, improve to 19-0.

Hawaii returns home, to host New Mexico State on Friday.
