Superferry to Host Military

HONOLULU (KHNL) - The Hawaii Superferry plans to be back in the water this weekend.  But you have to be active-duty military to take your family on the trip.

As a heartfelt mahalo to Hawaii's military, Hawaii Superferry invites military personnel and their families on a coastal cruise.

Superferry officials announced free 90-minute cruises - three on Saturday and two on Sunday.

The voyages are to include free food and drinks and panoramic view of the Oahu coast.

Meanwhile, Superferry officials, active employees and laid-off employees await word on legislative action to put the giant catamaran back in service from Oahu to Maui and Kauai.
