HONOLULU (KHNL) - One of Hawaii's largest ever auction's of construction equipment will be staged, tomorrow, at sand island.
More than 200 large items will be "on the block."
So is this a sign of things to come?
So you say you need an "excavator" -- a bobcat -- or a back-hoe.
Well, this is the place for you.
But, is this an indicator of a shaky economy?
Recent economic forecasts call for a "stable" contruction industry.
But still, some island companies feel the need to sell -- and sell fast.
''A partial of these sales are from banks trying to liquidate some machines for them. But, the majority of the machines is just contractors putting in their machines and trying to liquidate their surplus machines and also upgrade," Brian Pestana of Bob's Equipment.
Bob's Equipment -- will execute the auction, starting tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock.
That means, for company, Brian Pestana, and his crew -- the mad scramble is on.
''This is a contractors' carnival. All the contractors love to come to an auction and meet each other as friends and see what's happening out there and have lots of fun," Pestana.
