Police Searching for Bank Robber

KAPAHULU (KHNL) - A bank robber is on the run from Honolulu police.  Investigators say a man wearing a cloth over his face entered the Bank of Hawaii Kapahulu branch at about 10:45 Tuesday morning, and threatened the teller with what's believed to be a knife.

He jumped over the teller counter and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured. Police say the suspect then took off in a stolen van, which was later recovered two blocks from the bank on Lukepane Avenue.

The suspect is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, he was wearing blue jeans, a white shirt and a baseball cap.
