(KHNL) - The Topps Meat Company is greatly expanding its recall of frozen hamburger patties that may be contaminated with E. coli.
The New Jersey-based company says it's recalling nearly 22 million pounds of ground beef products. That's up from 332,000 pounds recalled earlier this week.
The recall comes after federal inspectors found inadequate safety measures at a Topps plant. It includes all Topps products with either a "sell by" or "best if used by" date between
September 25th of this year and September 25th, 2008.
