Grand Jury Indicts Ewa Beach Man in Wife's Murder

HONOLULU (KHNL) -- A man accused of killing his wife at their Ewa Beach home was indicted on a murder charge Tuesday.

Honolulu prosecutors presented the case to an Oahu grand jury, which determined there's enough evidence to send Michael Schuette's case to trial.

The 45-year-old made his initial court appearance Monday. He's accused of suffocating his wife, Victoria, during an argument over plants in their backyard.

Bail is set at $500,000.
