HONOLULU (KHNL) -- A man accused of murdering his wife at their Ewa Beach home made his first court appearance in the case Monday.
According to court papers, 45-year-old Michael Schuette told police his wife fell during an argument over plants in their backyard.
The documents say he "positioned his body on top of Victoria, who was laying face down in the muddy grass, so that she could not move away from him and he did this so she would be forced to listen."
An autopsy found 49-year-old Victoria Schuette suffocated.
