MAUI (KHNL) - Maui County Fire engines and crews posted in front of county fire stations at 8:46 Tuesday morning to honor their 343 fallen Brothers lost in the devastating events of September 11th.
A moment of silence was accompanied by the red lights of fire engines flashing in remembrance of the valiant efforts of all that helped in the 2001 terrorist attacks.
To further highlight the fire fighters' resolved to "Never Forget" the attacks that took place on American soil, an Honor Guard was posted at the Kahului Fire Station.
The Honor Guard, created several years ago by Fire Chief Carl Kaupalolo, dressed in the first known uniform of the County of Maui.
Clad in their green academic gowns and fancy caps, nearly 1,000 UH Manoa students walked the stage at Stan Sheriff Center on Saturday for the University's Mid-Year Commencement Ceremony.More >>
