HILO (KHNL) - The disappearance of a 69-year-old Big Island man has been reclassified from a missing person case to murder.

According to the AP, police say Stephen Lamaka Pua of Hilo was last seen alive on April 12 at the home of Sarah Wilson.

Wilson was also reported missing, but was located out of state on June 28.

The same day, a set of human remains were found on the Pepeekeo coastline.

Police suspected the remains were those of Pua, and DNA tests have now positively identified them as Pua's.

Police are still seeking Cedrick Darby who was also living at Wilson's home.

Darby is believed to be out of state.
