Former Liquor Commission Supervisor Sentenced for Accepting Bribes

HONOLULU (KHNL) -- A former Honolulu Liquor Commission supervisor, who admits he accepted bribes and allowed Oahu nightclubs to violate liquor laws learned his punishment Friday.

James Rodenhurst arrived at Federal Court and pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge in February. The 57-year-old apologized for violating the public's trust.

Friday, a judge sentenced him to 17 months in prison. He must surrender to federal authorities October 2nd.
