Over 50 Schools May Have to Wait For Maintenance

HONOLULU (KHNL) - Fifty-four Hawaii public schools may have to wait another year to have 1970s-era light fixtures replaced and other maintenance work.

The projects are being held up due to spending restrictions imposed by the Lingle administration.

The move is delaying projects at 39 schools on Oahu, nine on the Big Island, four on Maui and two on Kauai.
