MANOA (KHNL) - Colt Brennan has always believed the good of the team comes before the individual.

So it was only fitting the first good news at the start today's WAC meetings, had the Warriors sitting atop both the WAC Coaches, and the Media polls.

"I think it just goes to show where Hawaii is headed as a program and how much respect we're starting to get," Brennan said, "It's a great honor and what we have to do is live up to it and make sure people really feel good about saying that we're a top team in the WAC."

The top team, led by potentially the top player in the conference.

As Brennan was chosen as the WAC pre-season offensive player of the year.

"It's a great honor and you know totally awesome," he said, "But I understand that all that really matters is what happens at the end of the year and that decides whether you're the best player in the conference or not."

Both Brennan and the University of Hawaii have a bigger goal in mind.

As the school kicked off its 'Vote of Colt' Heisman Trophy campaign, unveiling a DVD entitled, 'A Colt Following.'

Copies of the DVD will be mailed to Heisman voters, in hopes of getting Colt some additional publicity.

"I got to watch the final cut of the DVD and was really, really impressed," Colt said, "Hopefully that's enough to really to get the respect that we need and for people to take us serious."
