MAKAWELI, Kauai (KHNL) - Fire officials say about 30 acres burned in a brushfire on the westside about 2-1/2 miles mauka of the Makaweli Post Office.
The fire started at about 3:17 p.m. on Tuesday. The acreage that burned belongs to the Robinson family.
Firefighters from the Kalâheo, Kôloa and Waimea stations along with Rescue-3 and Air-1 responded to the fire.
The Robinson employees assisted by using their water tenders to refill the fire trucks.
The fire was brought under control at 4:45 pm. No lives or structures were threatened by the fire.
