KAHALA (KHNL) - Tadd Fujikawa summed up his decision in five words.
"There's no turning back now," he said.
At a press conference Thursday morning at the Waialae Country Club, the 16-year-old golf phenom announced he will forego his amateur status and turn pro.
Fujikawa, a junior at Moanalua High School, burst onto the golfing scene only a year ago, after becoming the youngest player (then 15-years old) to play at the 2006 U.S. Open.
Then at this year's Sony Open, Fujikawa was the youngest player (16-years old) in 50 years to make the cut at a PGA Tour event.
