Honolulu Police Charge Man Suspected of Murdering Cousin

EWA BEACH (KHNL) - It was a vicious crime - a man stabbed to death in front of his Ewa Beach home, and now a family member is charged for the crime.

The suspect is the victim's cousin.

Saturday evening, Honolulu police charged 28-year-old Tyler Condon with second degree murder.

According to a court affidavit, police arrested Condon on July 5th at the 7-11 store parking lot on Kamehameha Highway in Wahiawa.

Condon is suspected of killing 28-year-old Jake Hale.

Hale was found in front of his home in the early morning hours of July 4th with multiple stab wounds.

He later died at the hospital.

The court documents released also say that officers received a tip from a witness who led them to Condon. They impounded his car, which was caught on video fleeing the scene of the stabbing.

Condon is in custody at the police station on $500,000 bail.

His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday.
