HONOLULU (KHNL) -- An Oahu murder suspect who confessed during a jailhouse interview with KHNL News 8 two months ago is dead.
In May, Sistine Rangamar told us he was a born-again Christian who was ready to take responsibility for his actions.
Last week, guards at the Oahu Community Correctional Center found the 27-year-old hanging in his cell. Police say he died at Kuakini Medical Center Tuesday night.
Rangamar admitted he was involved in the kidnapping, robbery and killing of 58-year-old Ted Arifuku in a studio apartment on Kapiolani Boulevard January 15th.
