By Minna Sugimoto

EWA BEACH (KHNL) - A girl who died after running into trouble in waters off Ewa Beach Sunday is identified as 10-year-old Mollie Dauner. An autopsy performed Monday confirms she drowned.

Police say Dauner was boogie boarding about 100 yards off Iroquois Point, when she lost her board in the surf and panicked. Her brother tried to pull her to shore, but she became unresponsive.

Paramedics took Dauner to a nearby hospital, where she died.
