HONOLULU (KHNL) - There was another water rescue Saturday morning, but this one involved two outrigger canoes that became swamped with water.

The paddlers were approximately two miles off shore near Diamond Head.

The high winds and surf put nine paddlers in the water.  The Coast Guard was alerted and pulled five people out of the water.  The remaining four stayed behind to try to salvage the vessels.  The Honolulu Fire Department assisted them during that time.

No injuries were reported and the remaining four were eventually taken to dry ground.
