(KHNL)- He's thrown for more yardage than any other quarterback in NCAA history.
But for ex-Hawaii QB... Timmy Chang.
So far he's come up incomplete trying to hook up with an NFL team.
Just this year I was asked to go back to NFL Europe and that's another avenue to get back into the NFL, but I thought my shot was last year.
In the last three years, Chang has but cut from three NFL teams, and according to his physical trainer Chad Ikei, the former Saint Louis School star was on the verge of hanging them up.
I know he was on the verge of quitting at one point between now and last year when he got released by the Eagles, but things come full circle and I think he realized he still has a passion and desire to be a professional athlete.
It was a great opportunity last year, but I feel like I'm going to move on, go to the CFL, and get some experience under my belt and hopefully something down the road.
Now a member of the Hamilton Tigercats, Chang's says a big plus so far, is his familiarity with the system.
I'll be back in shot gun a lot more, it's a lot more spread offense, so the game is a lot more familiar with what we used to do in Hawaii and Saint Louis.
Chang is definitely dedicated to his craft.
He's spent the last 3 months away from home, working out in Arizona, in hopes of making it with the Tigercats.
