(KHNL) - Hawaii residents have decided it's better to click it, than get a ticket.
Statewide, 2793 people were cited during this years "Click It or Ticket" campaign. That's down from last year, when more than 3000 tickets were handed out.
In Honolulu, the numbers also decreased. 115 fewer tickets were handed out.
Kauai was the only area that saw an increase in tickets for people not wearing their seat belt.
