HONOLULU (KHNL) - The forecast looks gloomy for local fans of the Korean singer, "Rain."

He was expected to perform in Honolulu this Friday, but it appears he won't be coming.

Rain was expected to arrive Tuesday, but so far, he's been a no-show.

Officials connected with the local concert held a news conference and made an announcement.

"We have decided that Rain's Hawaii concert on June 15 cannot proceed as planned," said Dong Il Kim, creative director.

They haven't heard of an official cancellation from Rain's representatives but problems have plagued Rain's North American tour. That includes a trademark lawsuit filed in Nevada, by a band that also performs under the name, Rain. The local production manager also says Rain's reps had concerns about inadequate staging at Aloha Stadium.

"Ultimately, all their production concerns for the event were met," said Mark Russo, production manager.

Local organizers tried to work things out with the performer, but so far, no luck. And officials aren't sure if Rain will reschedule his Hawaii concert. But if and when he does, fans will be ready.

"And I'm sure I'll be there buying the ticket and seeing the show," said Lianne Tong, fan.
