Police Release Suspect in Connection with A'ala Park Stabbing

HONOLULU (KHNL) - Honolulu police release a homeless man after detaining him in connection with a stabbing in A'ala Park yesterday.  The victim is still recovering from a stab wound to his chest.

He was attacked yesterday afternoon in A'ala park.

Patrol officers arrested a man after a search of the area, about an hour after the stabbing, a few blocks away.

He was released today pending further investigation after the victim withdrew his complaint.

Police say, both men want to work out their differences on their own.
