WAIKIKI (KHNL) - If you've watched the hit TV show, the Apprentice, you've heard Donald Trump say,  one of the most important things in business is location, location, location!

And the only place with a better location than his new building, is the lot across the street at the Waikiki Reef Hotel on the beach.

It may look like a bomb went off there, but the pile of dirt and concrete rubble out front is on it's way out to make room for the new and improved property.

Outrigger is shelling out big bucks for the renovations, and the company is banking on it's investment.

Vice President, Kimberly Agas says, "You're going to walk onto the property and you're going to say, WOW, look at the transformation.  You're going to see a new hotel."

And when she says new hotel, she means it. The entire property is being gutted. The only thing that will remain is the frame of the building.

Chief of Engineering, Mandy Cruz says, "This would be the largest and the most extensive renovation that this property has gone through."

One hundred million dollars to be exact, and it will cover everything including all the restaurants and art work.

Some of the rooms have already been completed with plasma screen Tv's, a jacuzzi tub, and a million dollar ocean front view of Diamond Head..

Lilia Arca of the Housekeeping department started working at the hotel in 1976, when she was just 19 years old.  She says, she's proud of the changes, and adds, "I've been working here for 30 years, and this is the most beautiful model I have ever seen here at this hotel now.  It's good.  Everything is nice."
