John Doe Withdraws Federal Lawsuit Against Kamehameha Schools

(KHNL) - A non-Hawaiian student who had been denied admission to Kamehameha Schools, has agreed to withdraw his civil rights lawsuit.

In the suit, the student claimed the Kamehameha schools violated federal civil rights law by excluding non-Hawaiians.

The justices had been scheduled to take-up the case at a private conference last week.

But now, the Court's electronic docket noted the case has been withdrawn after both sides reached an out-of-court agreement.
