HONOLULU (KHNL) - Island  radio host, Larry Price, apologizes on air this morning for comments he made to Kauai State Senator, Gary Hooser, last week.

Price, called those remarks, "inappropriate."

The incident occurred during an interview with the senator on the top-rated Perry and Price show, on Friday.

After the senator qualified his statements with the word, "honestly", Price, asked Hooser, where he was born and raised and whether he had blue eyes.

This morning, Price made a statement on the radio show.

"I wanna take this time to apologize to our KSSK listeners and the people in the State of Hawaii for the inappropriate remarks that were made to Senator Hooser on Friday's morning show. If my comments were offensive to anyone, I realize that it was wrong to make them. There is no room for this type of insensitive language that I used. I have learned from this and I hope that Senator Hooser will accept my apology," Said Price.

Perry immediately responded.

"Tha'ts it? You're apologizing?," said Perry.

"Yup," said Price.

Hooser says, the discussion focused on his race, instead of the issues.
