WAIKIKI (KHNL) - Many will remember Don Ho's entertaining style, from audience members to fellow musicians.

Bandmates say they are reeling from the news of Don Ho's sudden death.

Music Coordinator Dennis Graue says, "I got a call Don Ho had passed away and I'm in shock mode because it only happened a few hours ago."

Graue played in Ho's band for the past six years. Two shows a week.

"He's a legend in his own time and I don't think a lot of people can claim that. He'll be sorely missed by millions of Americans they have been coming to see him since the 60's and he's played with some of the best people in Hawaii," says Graue.

Besides Ho's music and comedy, many marvel at his genuine appreciation for his fans.

Don Ho has been performing in Waikiki for decades. Some say it just won't be the same without him.
