HONOLULU (KHNL) - An emergency funding bill for Kahuku hospital has been signed by Governor Lingle. The bill allows the hospital on the north shore of Oahu, to remain open through the legislative session.
It appropriates $950,000 for Kahuku hospital to continue its operations while it reorganizes and settles its debts. In November, hospital officials said it would soon close. The hospital filed for bankruptcy protection last month.
